I know that people in the past in this community have used VistaPrint for save the date magnets, specifically for the large ones. I was planning to order those and then get invitation-size envelopes from Office Max to send them in.

If you did this (or something similar), did you have to pay extra postage to send the large magnets?

I'm planning on sending Save the Date magnets from Vistaprint. The business card size seems too small since we did want to include a photo, but the large size (about regular postcard size, 5.5" x 4.3") seems a bit large. It feels a little bit presumptuous to send out this big ol' postcard for people to stick on their refrigerators and look at us ( Read more... )

I think that sending Save the Date magnets is a cute idea, but for some reason I get the feeling that Canada Post isn't going to like it. Has anybody had their magnets arrive late or not at all because of issues with the post office? Would be especially nice to hear from people who sent them to or within Canada.

Have any of you had any experience with this DIY STD Magnet kit: www.classiceventgifts.com/sdamakit.html? I'm on a budget but would love for my STDs to be magnets. However, most places I checked want around $140 for 100 of the 4x5 magnets, which is okay but I'd like to go cheaper. Ok, so those of you using the Vistaprint business cards to send out your save the dates...what size card did you use to insert the business cards into?

I don't want them to be too massively big...but big enough where it looks like an actual card.
